Recognising leaders who are driving this transformation, the Tamil Nadu Press & Media Reporters Union recently organised a press meet to honour individuals who have made a significant impact on society and employment generation.

At this prestigious event, Dr. John Yesudhas, Founder & CEO of IGO Group and a Tech Farming Scientist, was honoured with a special award for his outstanding contribution to modern agriculture and agritech development in India. The recognition highlighted his visionary leadership and commitment to making farming profitable, structured, and technology-driven.

Addressing the media, Dr. John Yesudhas shared that IGO Group has successfully created over 25,000 job opportunities through its diversified agritech initiatives. These include polyhouse farming, microgreens cultivation, hydroponics, open cultivation projects, and allied agri-business ventures. He emphasized that skill development, hands-on training, and technology adoption are key to empowering youth and rural communities.

A major highlight of the event was the announcement of a special employment initiative for Press Council members and their family members. This initiative reflects IGO Group’s strong focus on social responsibility and inclusive growth, extending sustainable job opportunities to the families of media professionals who play a vital role in society.
